Jimmack shared this bottle at Dickinsonbeer’s place. Golden in color, with a very high amount of carbonation, and a very long lasting white head. Aroma is very yeast driven, a bit of must, bread, spices and light fruit notes. Taste: lightly yeasty, with notes of bread, fruity with soft apple and pear, a moderate amount of spices, with a lightly hoppy finish. Although carbonation is high, it’s not prickly or abrasive. excellent.

Thanks to Jimmack for bringing this over to share. Pours a nice clear golden yellow with massive soft carbonation, intense beading, and a long lasting fluffy tight white head. Aroma is doughy, fresh pils malts, lightly floral and estery with some restrained phenolic spiciness. Light yeasty flavors, with tons of doughy fresh pils malts, super smooth sweetness, light nuts, herbal hops, and a clean lightly hoppy finish. Smooth as hell, and some of the softest yet intense carbonation ever, with just a touch of alcohol at the end. Very refined, and so different from any other belgain strong ale. This is great stuff.

Bottle from State Line sampled with Beerded_one. Pours pale golden with a large white fluffy head. Aroma of flowers or soap, sweet malts, and yeast. The flavor is sweet, spices, floral hops, smooth for an 11% brew. Good body, good brew.

This is a real pleasure, wonderful. I can only recommend to try this beer. I find this much better than DeuS. This does not have the sharpness that DeuS have.

Number 1500 by one site’s count, 1499 by another. Might as well call this the grand ol’ 1500. 750ml bottle at Monk’s Café in Philly. The pour was grand, as expected, lots o’ foam everywhere, great retention, expected lacing, although no pillowy rings, just a pretty frothy pillowy head. The aroma was dry light fruits, some subtle yeast, light floral notes. The flavor was like a fruity pilsner, pils malts would be my guess perhaps with a touch of wheat (a tripel like base in some ways), floral notes, light apples and pears, the sweetness well-tamed, mouthfeel only moderate (for these abvs anyway), somewhat of a dry finish. A nice 1500th rating (at least on one site), comparable to DeuS, although I liked DeuS better (based on only a single tasting of each).
