Bottle. Approx five years aged. Thanks to Kyoto Lefty. Sweet, butterscotch, light cream, yeast, and some oxidation. Cloudy yellow, thin head. Sweet peachy initial/ sugary mid, and alc. kicks in / finish is chewy and sweet taffy. Oxidation is quite evident, but doesn’t interfere. Medium body. Very nice small changes throughout palate. Very boozy, too.

Beautiful pungent aroma, yeasty, hazy straw color with silky white head. Bitterness comes through on first taste, lingering on palate and in throat. Smooth, with a spike of alcohol warmth. Complex, yet tasty.....

Bottle at home. Two years old. Pours a murky yellow colour with a frothy grey-white medium head. The aroma is pretty fruity and sour with belgian yeast, gooseberries, apple cider vinegar and some cinnamon, and feels vinous. The flavour is wonderfully complex and rich with a touch of fruity apples, pale malt and belgian yeast. It still has a nice sourness and a sweet ending. Rich and soft mouthfeel, and a light to medium bitterness. A really nice and rich ale. It’s well-balanced, and a mix between a sour ale and strong light belgian ale.

Shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike. Served side by side with Malheur Brut Noir (Black Chocolate). The beer is hazy and straw yellow hued with a half inch of lasting white head. The aroma brings yeast, lemons, bready malts, grass. Smells good. Nice flavor as well. Easy drinking, especially considering the 12% abv. Bold yeast flavors with a touch of hops. Additional notes of citrus and a light, bready sweetness. The finish is dry, with warming alcohol notes. Overall, this a tasty beer. I would have it again.
