Bottle: Pale yellow, light head and lacing. Nose of musky sweet malts, light carbonation burn in the nose. The flavor is nice and lightly creamy, malty. The carbonation feels just right on the palate. Zesty and citrusy with vanilla and a nice cheesy tartness.

Bottle at O’Briens: Well I should just let you read Clark’s more detailed review but I will throw a few notes towards this bottle as well: Cloudy bottle with an amberish golden color that poured to display a huge fluffy head and very nice lacing. I discovered notes of acidic and yeast driven vapours supported by light flowery and grainy character. Some biscuity and dusty esters abound as well.

The taste has a lovely balance of sweeter malt, twangy acidic fruits (think lemon and cherry pie) with a light background of bitters and wood. The finish has a dash of hop spice and some aftertaste of hazelnut. The mouth feel is spritzy and lively dancing across the palate and keeping the brew refreshing as all get out. This is great now and should only get even better. Get ya some!

Bottle, thanks to ekstedt. Hazy yellow color, huge ceramy white head. Brady, malty, spicy aroma, some hops, some floral notes. Quite carbonated. Malty, bready flavor, spices, hops, grass, yeast. Lovely to find a great beer that still is rather laid back. Bready and grassy finish.

Licking the sharp, rocky islands of foam remaining on the sides of the glass, you will receive a bitter, herbal, leafy, yeasty set of flavors that fully encapsulates Belgian brewing. A monster of a dry, bone-dry, yeasty, complex beer, with raging naturalness in the form of honest to goodness bitterness. A tiny bit of honey washes in to relieve you. The aroma is all grass and hay. Delicious. Truly.

750ml Bottle at Coles Rare Beer Fest 2009> One of my favorites if not the favorite. Im just a sucker for Belgian blondes, though. Pours a light gold with lots of tiny bubbles. Dry like a champagne brut but much tastier. Floral with some fruitiness. The most easy drinking 11% beer ive had. My new 12/31 treat every year

A little hazy golden colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma of fresh fruit like citrus and peaches. A little sourness. The taste is sparkling fresh, fruits like citrus and grapes with a little orange. Also a little sourness with some bitter. There are some notes of hop and caramel. The aftertaste is bittersweet and fruity.

Notes from 4 ounce sample from bottle at Pizza Port Belgian Beer Fest in March 2009 where it was labeled "Michael Jackson Commemorative Brut." Pours a murky yet bright yellow. White head composed of very small champagne-like bubbles. Complex aroma of leather and citrus. Equally complex taste that is both sweet and sour with flavors of caramel and fruit (lemon and grapefruit). Nicely balanced.
