3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
750 ml bottle - taken from notes/ Pours clear hay yellow with a nice fine head. Aroma is yeast and malt, let it be refined. Taste is very mediocre, not tastign the special champagne character. Kind of dissapointing; lots ado about nothin i.e. lots of marketing for no taste... and expensive for what it is. Hate it!

Pours clear golden color with a medium sized head. Aroma of spices, citrus fruits, some toffee notes, caramelly malts and some yeast. Flavor of citrus fruits, ripe fruit notes, spices, yeast and some earth. Very nice but somewhat disappointing.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Aged around six years. Thanks to Kyoto Lefty. Yeast, lemony, funky aroma. Hazy yellow color with a very thin head. Mild citrusy initial / goes a bit flat in mid palate, flavors diminish / levels out into a light sugary final. Thin body. Tin body. Slight oxidation. Nice stuff.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled, 4 years past drink by date. Honey malt nose, some oxidation, peaches, esters, sweet orange, creamy. Lots of hoeny in the flavor, mead-like really. Light tangy barnyard flavors as well. Interesting and nice but not as good as the other two.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Belgianshop. Hazy orange color, white head. Crispy bitter taste with toast, citrus, earthy notes, ripe fruits, yeast and grapefruit. Dry bitter finish with toast. Nice experimental brew, very much like sparkling wine.

75 cl bottle @ Poatersgat, Bruges. Rated on 17.07.2010
Aroma has some apricot, boozy and floral notes. Flavour has apricot, citrus, Belgian yeast, sticky malt and some fruity notes. Good, but still a disappointment in Malheur Brut series.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Remarkable flavor, characteristic of a long maturation. Bitterness in aroma and flavor which is elongated by hops.

15/VIII/2012 75cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ Erwin’s BBQ - BB: 1/VIII/13 (2012-932)
Pretty clear yellow blond beer, some small sediment floating around under an aery off-white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit sugary, floral, some citrus, little grassy. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very spicy, gingerbread, cloves, (peperkoek, but that’s a Dutch/Belgian thing), some citrus, cloves again, somewhat sugary, bitter hops, chocolaty touch. Aftertaste: bitter hops, quite an alcohol burn, pretty spicy, some citrus again.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared (2005 vintage). Pours hazy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is yeasty, fruity, funky sour, and damp. Flavour is medium sweet, bitter and sour. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Far from the best Malheur I’ve tried but maybe just past it’s best.
