On tap at ABV Pub in Hillsboro, OR. Pours black with a small head. Aroma of dark chocolate and roasted malts. Taste is dry, as appropriate, but not harshly so. Pleasant dark chocolate and roasted malt flavor. Medium mouthfeel. Easy to drink and delicious.

Bottle. Pours a near-black color with a smallish light brown head on there. Nose is dry and roasty, with some sour black licorice notes coming through for me. Taste has a hint of chocolate to it, and is sweeter than I would have expected given its style. Nice roasty finish, too.

Black pour. Big tan head. Little bit of lacing. Dry roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Roasty flavor. Some tartness in the sweet finish.

Smooth coffee like aroma. Appearance is jet black with a large tan head with good retention. Flavor has notes of mild coffee with large amounts of fruity esters. Roast dries out the beer and is smooth at the same time. Mouthfeel is medium with a high level of carbonation. Overall, it's a solid dry stout. The only fault is that the carbonation is too high. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Backlog rating. Bottle at CBC Clerkenwell, Gunnar tasting. Thanks to Chris for this one. It pours a dark brown color with a medium beige head. Aroma is cocoa powder, burnt wood, dried berries. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter, with notes of licorice root, toffee, espresso and dark chocolate. Medium bodied with oily texture and soft carbonation. Overall, I liked this quite a lot

Bottle @ home, Israeli tick. Pours a black appearance with a brown creamy head. Cola, chocolate, chalk, and some roast in the nose. Medium bitterness. Moderate low sweetness. There’s some anise, light smoke, and chalk in the flavor. Fine.
