Bottle. Pours midnight black with slight head, quickly fades. Aroma is burned wood, cheap milk chocolate. Taste hits you with the lactose, molasses and burned sugars. As it warms, these notes mellow into a very drinkable stout. Quite enjoyable.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Black and opaque with reddish fringing and a durable medium brown head. The aroma is the standard roast and chocolate grain combo with a slight mineral pungency. The taste is outstanding, all the virtues of a dry stout with just enough caramel and dried fruit to make it stupidly drinkable. At a mere 6%, I guess you couldn’t get hurt too much, but this is a beer that you want to devour.
That intense ’drinkability’ does mean that the body is a bit light and those of us who like to chew our stout may be a bit disappointed.
The finish is remarkably persistent, you’ll be tasting this beer long after it’s gone.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I think this beer has confirmed for me that Malka is my new favorite micro-brewery in Israel. This is an excellent stout, I thoroughly enjoyed a bottle of this and I don't normally prefer stouts. Pours a very black color with faint ruby accents, also long lasting dark tan head. Aroma is standard coffee and roasted malt. The taste however is superior, a clean roasted malt base with a sweet chocolate-rather than dark chocolate- flavor, along with light coffee bean notes. Medium bodied, very smooth and drinkable. Finishes with a chocolate bar aftertaste. Very well done, highly recommended.

330 ml bottle. Pours a pitch black with a huge, long lasting, light brown head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate and licorice. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, licorice and dried fruit with a dry finish. Medium body with oily texture and soft carbonation.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20

Pours out of the bottle (with many thanks to tomer!) in a deep dark black colour with low creamy head and medium to smooth body. Aroma of malt and chocolate. Taste of rich malt, roasted barley, leaves, dark berries, torf and chocolate. Earthy finsih. Really nice and wonderful quaffable beer. Enjoyed it.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Big rich earthy almost farmy chocolate scents. Thick black with with a slowly fading froth brown head. Taste is hop bitter, coffee bitter, and raw chocolate bitter all at the same time. The bitter just slowly fades away.
