33cl bottle, many thanks to DSG. Smooth fresh nose of roasted barley. Hints of woody sourness. Nice sourish beginning, rich and round with dry smooth roasted barley. Very dry, nice sourness in the body. Fresh, smooth, malty smooth, easy to drink but still thick. Great malty-dry sourish aftertaste with a bit of bitterness. Great.

12 oz bottle pour. Pours a near black with a fading foam head. As advertised, Very dry. Mike chocolate and roasted aroma. Dusty, smokey flavor with a roasted malt finish. Overall pretty good. Glad I found this.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Mr. Bloom. The beer is very black. I have to tilt the beer a bit to get any brown. The head is fizzy and light brown. Aroma shows off a lot of acidic roast right off the bat. Some weak coffee. A touch of actually pretty good chocolate, which I wish was amped up considerably. While the taste doesn’t have much of a true roasted malt flavor, the acidity of black patent malt dominates the taste. There’s some light dark chocolate - again, a stronger chocolate presence would do wonders for this beer. Some simple malt sweetness, though the finish dries out satisfactorily. Odd mineral character. Feel is thin and a bit fizzy. This beer mostly emphasizes elements of the style that I don’t like. That said, I can appreciate the effort and the brewery’s intention.

11.2 oz bottle. Poured an unfiltered dark brown almost black with a tan head that lasted throughout. Taste of roasted malts, dried fruits and ash. Medium carbonation, medium body. First beer I’ve tried from Israel. Cheers

330 ml. bottle sampled. Obtained in the big Israeli trade. Shared with multiple people @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Black, little mocha bubbles. Nose is sweetish coffee, light grains, touch soy sauce. Taste is bitter vegetable roast, herbal coffee, bitter grounds, light liquorish. Grainy roast body. Touch metallic. Pretty decent & quaffable beer.

11.2 oz. bottle from Wilbur’s. Appearance: finger red copper head that dissipates quickly, dark brown color, cloudy. Aroma: rich coffee and dark chocolate notes, roast, light metallic. Palate: medium full body, average carbonation, slightly dry finish, thin texture. Taste: sweet chocolate with a little bit of roast to it, ending with a metallic taste that lingers. Overall, very nice aroma and appearance, but the taste is lacking and the palate is a bit thin. Definitely a good starting point, but needs some work.

On tap at ABV Pub in Hillsboro, OR. Pours black with a small head. Aroma of dark chocolate and roasted malts. Taste is dry, as appropriate, but not harshly so. Pleasant dark chocolate and roasted malt flavor. Medium mouthfeel. Easy to drink and delicious.

Bottle. Pours a near-black color with a smallish light brown head on there. Nose is dry and roasty, with some sour black licorice notes coming through for me. Taste has a hint of chocolate to it, and is sweeter than I would have expected given its style. Nice roasty finish, too.

Black pour. Big tan head. Little bit of lacing. Dry roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Roasty flavor. Some tartness in the sweet finish.
