Very enjoyable stout. Pours a dark, dark brown (ok, maybe black) with a nice cinnamon color 1 finger head. Nose of coffee, roasted malt. Taste is coffee, black licorice...good stuff, easy to drink, too. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0.33L bottle, small head that dissapears very quickly. uniform opaque black colour, aroma of charred wood, dark chocolate and whiffs of smoke, charred wood dominates the flavour with hints of dried fruits and dark bread, almost completely dry. feels quite fat and silky, long bitter aftertaste. Quite impressive.

Courtesy of DSG, thanks Barak!!!
The beer in the glass is opaque black with a beautiful brown and creamy head. The smell is sour malty, bitter, with strong coffee-notes. The beer starts very malty, creamy, mild, with strong notes of roasted coffe. The center part is considerably milder and the sourness comes through a little better, coupled with a good yeast aroma. Goes in a roasted malty finish, slightly tart, with strong aromas of coffee and chocolate!

Surprisingly solid stout. Pours a pure black with a thin beige head. The nose is sweet and robust with dark choc and oat notes. Nice heavy and robust flavour. Good bitter finish.

Pours a deep black with a medium brown head. Aroma of dark roasted caramel malt, cacao with some mild dark fruit notes. Taste is of sweet dark roasted caramel malt, cacao and some espresso notes. Palate is a medium body, slight creamy mouth feel with good carbonation. Finish is a flavorful dark roasted caramel and chocolate malt some distant dark fruit and mild liquorice notes ending with a moderate bitter dry roasted malt and espresso flavor. A very nice tasty brew.

Ar: Sharp roasted malt, char - some burnt coffee, and cocoa powder. Ap: Dark brown, opaque - small mocha head with medium-low retention - leaves a thing ring of foam with a film of bubbles. T: Lots of charcoal and burnt coffee up front, and semi-sweet - medium-high bitterness with a herbal note - cocoa powder and coffee on the finish. P: Medium body with high carbonation - finish is dry. O: Tasty dry Irish stout - very true to style, bold and sharply roasty without becoming acrid, and a firm bitterness.

The coffee really steps up in the taste. It’s solidly there, the main flavour. Nice slightly bitter chocolate notes as well with the roasted barley and malts, black bread and a tiny hint of vanilla that mixes with the coffee for a mocha-like taste. Coffee flavour is not over powering but it is there. Some bakers chocolate mixed with the roasted barley and maltiness. It gives a mocha flavour. I enjoyed very much.

Aroma is some light hints of the rich malts, fairly pale otherwise. Taste is a rich roasty maltiness that is balanced pretty well with some light hopiness that leaves a slight tanginess. The malt depth isnt quite as deep as i hoped. Body is black with a creamy beige head that retains well.

Dark black. Dark tan head. Quite dry. Strong coffee at first but it goes away very quickly.
