4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
500ml. Misted orange-gold heaped with rocky foam. Brittle green citrusy aroma with a splash of G+T; nettles and flowers; curry leaf, tropical fruit, mint leaf. Zesty, bitter GA bursting with sap, chlorophyll, pollen and grapefruit. Cracking fresh hop character backed with deep oily, nutty malt. Seriously stewed hop tea notes. No surprises; Mallinsons deliver another beautifully fragrant punch in the face. One of the finest, most consistent, most hop-centric brewers in the UK no question.

Bottle. Golden with a large foam. Aromas are peanuts and yeast with low pine and spices. Floral with biscuit and mellow lemon. Light white grape with woody, bready notes. Flavours are dry, woody and nutty with lots of spritzy yeast and floral spruce. Lemon rind bitterness with a pithy finish. Very nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle. Cloudy amber with a thin head and plenty of sediment. Aroma is floral hops nd citrus. Citrus flavours, heavy hops, intensely bitter and sour at the same time. This perhaps doesnít leave much chance for subtler flavours to come through, but I really like the flavour. Moderate carbonation - not too gassy like some Mallinsonís bottles Iíve had.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: Earthy, yeasty and floral. Nice grassy notes.
Appearance: Hazy golden body with yeast flecks floating around. Medium white head. Light carbonation. Nice lacing.
Taste: Floral hops, tangy pear and hints of apple. Grassy, bitter finish.
Palate: Medium body with an oily texture. Average carbonation.
Overall: Reminds me of a lower ABV version of the floral and fruity Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

Cask at CBC, London on 27th March 2013. Pale straw colour with thin off-white head. Richly floral hops in aroma and in-mouth, with very bitter background leading to a bitter finish. Light mouthfeel, slightly watery but with reasonable body for strength.
