3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at Lyric Soho. It pours clear pale golden with a medium white head. The nose is orange, tangerine, sherbet, candy, piss and hay. The taste is crisp, doughy, tangerine, grapefruit, orange peel, light soap and decent bitterness and a touch of grass with a dry, citric finish. Medium body body and fine carbonation. Smells great and tastes not bad also. Good golden action.

Hazy light gold beer. Good white head. Light palate, a little dry. Mild creamy malt. Nice fresh orange with pith and peel bitterness. Touch of tangerine. Semi dry finish with a mild peel bitter linger. Very drinkable and no bloody Mallinsons soap - hurrah!

500ml from Beer Gonzo, Coventry. Brilliant gold with a massive rocky white foam going nowhere- superb condition as always from Mallinsons bottles. Enticing nose comprising lemon and tangerine jelly cubes; elderflower, rabbit fur, slight cheese, passion fruit hints. Palate marmalade and fragrant elderflower-like pungency over a cushion of lingering biscuit. Hints of anise. Sticks around with bitterness. Beautiful.

3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
500ml bottle. Poured cloudy amber with almost no carbonation and zero head. Think I might have a duff bottle. Despite that, flavours were in tact and wonderful. Mildly tart tropical fruit to begin leading to lightly sweet nectarine and floral notes. Ends with a robust citric bitterness. Lovely flavours. Will buy this again hoping for a better bottle.

Amarillo and Galaxy versions drunk side by side. Iíve drunk far more of the Amarillo, so I guess that wins. Itís the hop bitterness that does it. Iím getting more orange from Goldens at the moment, these are golden ales neither is an APA. Though the tangerine was started by the Ahtanum from Kernel. Both are flavoursome enjoyable goldens. Another obs with Dom tomorrow. Another crap lesson to see therefore.
