3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with a good white head. Aroma is zesty orange and pepper. Heaps of grapefruit flavours, slight peppering, some grass. Hoppy grapefruit bitterness predominates, not allowing for much complexity but I like the flavour a lot regardless. Medium bodies with a slightly slick and oily mouthfeel.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pithy grapefruit nose. Murky bottle condition golden haze body with a consistent white bubbly head. Slick vibrant bitterness with a limey and pieney edge initially. Conditioning kicks in for a breadiness and creaminess to disguise sweet resin drips before a very dry bitter pith finish.

23rd August 2012
Hazy orange - gold beer, little off white head. Semi crisp palate. Mild lactose in the creamy malt. Nice hops in good balance. Nice fresh orange - tangerine, whisper of grapefruit. Finishes softish and semi dry. Just a whisper of Mallinsons soap this time around. Pretty good.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma: Green leafy hops, stewed tea and citrus fruit.
Appearance: Murky amber body with a thin white head that holds well. Tiny yeast flecks floating around. No visible carbonation. Light lacing marks.
Taste: Huge grapefruit and gooseberry flavour. Subtle biscuity pale malt with a light peppery spice. Very juicy and bitter.
Palate: Medium body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation.
Overall: From the bottle, but itís like a perfect cask conditioned beer. So hoppy itís like an IPA. A fantastic effort from Mallinsons.
