Our multi-award winning single hopped beer! A very pale ale, brewed using Citra hops. Amazing grapefruit and light mango nose, bitter hoppy citrus taste, with a bitter grapefruit and light passion fruit finish.

Delivered by MyBreweryTap. Lovely beer, and great taste for a 3.9% (I normally prefer a slightly more upfront beer & higher ABV). You could drink lots of this; definite subtle grapefruit, a beautiful soft soapiness (in a good way! Sounds awful but thatís what I felt & it was an excellent aspect to the beer). I loved the way it kept its head throughout.

Not sure if this is a technically a different beer, but the previous Mallinsons Citra was part of the discontinued Now Thatís What I Call Hops range, and .2% higher ABV. Pale yellow, thin white head fades to a film. Nose is zesty floral, hint of passion fruit. Juicy lemony palate, hint of apricot sweetness, long sharp hop finish. Nice.

Bottle. Golden with a white foam. Aromas are gooseberry with kiwi, melon and marmalade. Hay with floral notes. Fruity with yeast and light pine. Flavours are sweet jammy lemon with dry, woody and yeast notes. Peppery, pithy bitter grapefruit and green pine to finish. Herbal, floral and dry on the aftertaste. Very good.

From Beer n Spirits, Knaresborough. Difficult to add to the very eloquent description provided by the O.P. Lovely sharp grapefruit aroma that doesnít transfer to the taste as much as I expected. A hint of softness on the tongue, and some peach and kiwi fruit in the finish. The tang lingers around the mouth and, I think, there was some toasted almonds lurking in there too. This is sublime stuff, without the huge alcohol kick that beersof this taste tend to come with.
