Pale gold with a gentle citrus fruit aroma. The taste is citrus and gentle fruitiness, moving into a tartish citrus slightly dry finish.

500ml bottle from Drygate, Glasgow (4% abv on the bottle label) - hazy golden due to bad pouring, good off-white head, fresh hoppy citrus aroma, no lacing, initial earthy hit but progresses to a nice fruity, citrus flavour and a dry finish, carbonation on the high side

Live at The New Penguin. Bits-in murky topped with white. Nice dirty clean hop aroma of dishcloth, pissy fur, lime juice and cheddar. Crisp resolute citrus flavour with half-arsed malt interruptions. Lime zest end on a monkey nut. Understated explosions of lime and pollen. Yessir.

jamestulloch (1462) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 2, 2013
Bottle from Valhalla’s Goat. Hazy golden body with (despite a fairly aggressive pour) a very thin white head. Flat carbonation. Light lacing. Weak aroma of straw, grapefruit and a hint of metal. Flavour of lemon, orange and yeast. Medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Faint carbonation prickle. I generally like this brewery’s beers but this one doesn’t quite hit the mark for me. Although it’s very refreshing, it’s a bit thin and weak. This bottle was 4.0% ABV.

Cask at Bacchus, Newcastle. Pale gold, thin white head, fruity citrus hop aromas, bready malt. Another pretty forgettable blonde ale.

Taste comprises orange pith, grassy hop notes, citrus fruit, light toasty malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy bitterness in the finish. Solid enough GB.

Cask at CP&K. It pours pale amber with a medium white head. The nose is grassy, leaf, grainy, lemon, grapefruit and soap. The taste is crisp, bitter, straw, grassy, soap, biscuit, pithy lemon and grapefruit with a bitter, citric finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Clean, refreshing and rather drinkable.

Hand pulled cask at the CPK Pimlico. Gold with a thick white head. Delicate malts with a hint of soap (?) perfectly balanced by the single hop variety, giving pineapple like fruit notes. Pretty good.
