500ml bottle. Pours light cloudy golden with a thin head. Light floral citrus aroma. Light sweetness followed my a moderate to heavy citrus hops. The finish is bitter, but not too strong, and lasts without being so heavy you miss out on any flavour on the next sip. Moderate carbonation, not too gassy like a few of Mallinson’s offerings. Refreshing, light and Hoppy. I like this quite a lot.

Amarillo and Galaxy versions drunk side by side. I’ve drunk far more of the Amarillo, so I guess that wins. It’s the hop bitterness that does it. I’m getting more orange from Goldens at the moment, these are golden ales neither is an APA. Though the tangerine was started by the Ahtanum from Kernel. Both are flavoursome enjoyable goldens. Another obs with Dom tomorrow. Another crap lesson to see therefore.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2013 Cask at Euston Tap. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has a good amount of grassy hops with a grain backing and a hint of sweetness. Flavor has more pine hops that mellow to a grassiness with a bread backing.

Euston Tap. Light haze on this gold beer, good white head. Palate is crisp and semi dry. Minerals. Nice Galazy hops - mild but showing their tropical fruit character. Unfortunately detracting is the usual Mallinsons soapy streak. Finishes crisp and dry and fresh. I’d really enjoy Mallinsons beers if it wasn’t for that near ubiquitous soapy streak. What the hell is it?

Cask @ The Euston Tap. The pour’s light gold with a tiny white head. The nose is piss, cheddar cheese, herbal hops and lemon rind. The taste is more pissy lemon rind, a bit of dank hop and cheesy goodness. Hints of mint. Light body, soft. Pale. Overall, not bad. Exactly what you’d expect from Mallinsons.

Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours clear, bright gold with a fine, white cream head. Robust dry straw nose, pale malts, dry dough. Light sweet flavor with bracing bitterness, straw, biting grass. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry, strong grassy finish, very light sweetness, some mellow dirt. Very sturdy bitter grass character.
