Hazy gold beer, good fluffy white head. Palate is light and slightly soft. Fine carbonation. Light airy creamy malt. Good hops, pretty bitter too - yellow grapefruit and grapefruit pith. Trace of floral pine, but the bitter grapefruit dominates. Finishes smooth with a long bitter linger. No Mallinsons soap in this one!

500ml bottle. Golden colour, foam white head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of tropical fruit, pineapple, citrus, lime, grapefruit, hoppy. Taste is malt caramel with juicy floral citrus with lemon-lime and grapefruit bitterness. Smoothish mouthfeel, light bodied, soft to medium carbonation, drying lingering grapefruity bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Bottle conditioned. Pours a straw colour, ever so slightly cloudy with a small white head that lasts throughout. Astringent bitter taste with hops dominant. Reasonably floral with a soft swallow? A really lovely beer, its low abv making it an excellent session beer. Unfortunately I’ve only got the one bottle.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2014 1)Bottle from Beer Gonzo, Coventry. Faintly misted straw heaped finely with white. Deep-stewed, chlorophyll- laden aroma with lychee, passion fruit and lemon zest. Soapy, floral and bitterly nutty with an earthy’, almost smoky malt backdrop. Notes of lavender, grapefruit and marmalade. As expected. 2) Yellow gold with marmalade floaties and a solid white tuft. Huge just rubbed mint leaf aroma with fresh grapefruit, dragon fruit, passion fruit, slight fur and strong cheddar. Wow. Robust stewed hairy chlorophyll, resinous pine, grapefruit, lime Jelly Tot, spearmint and lychee. Pungent smack of bitterness concludes. Spongy Cask condition. Monkey nut greasy malt. Another Marvellous no frills hop explosion from Mallinsons. Yessir.

500ml bottle. Cloudy straw colour with a small head that lasts. Cut grass and citrus aroma. Similar flavours with light malt and dry honey flavours. Very dry with a good and lasting bitter finish. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. I enjoyed this one a lot.

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2014 Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. A hazy pale straw coloured beer with a sharp citrus and grapefruit flavour, bitter woody notes and a zesty finish. Excellent for a relatively low ABV beer.
