Our fortieth beer was brewed with Dave Szwejkowski in celebration of his 30th birthday.Dark blonde colour. Strong hop aroma, with a slightly sweet malt and balanced hop taste, with a long intense hop finish. Very moreish for its ABV.

Cask (handpump) at Reading Beer Festival, 30 April 2009. Rather murky appearance. Orange colour. Strong hoppy aroma (obviously). Grassy and spicy. Sweet resinous elements on the palate. Not as extreme as expected. Decent and pretty tasty though.

(Handbottle). Pours hazy orange with a small film head. Aroma has pine, oranges, fine hops. Low, rather fat and oily carbonation, okay dryish mouthfeel. Flavour is bitter, some orange blossoms, citric hops and long lingering bitterness with melon notes.

Cask handpull at Reading BF 09. Hazy orangey gold, fading off white head. Certainly sweetly hoppy on aroma. It’s ok, lots of hops, but definitely had hoppier beers, Brew Dog Hardcore IPA for example. Sweet resin. Bit earthy. Good, but doesn’t blow me away.
