Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Poured straw with a thin white head; citrus aroma; lightly citrus flavour to start, but with a think oily body revealing a complex texture with sweet chewy malts and grain; then a gently bitter finish. Shows that a Golden Ale need not be one-dimensional.

Cask Handpump at the Crown Inn, Stockport 10/07/2010 Fruit and hop aromas. Small white head. Clear golden coloured hoppy and fruity with a grapefruit flavour. A hint of dryness and bitterness in a malt finish.
