Dark brown beer with some head. Like a combination of Chimay Blue and Orval but not as complicated or balanced. Has a rather sweet taste but the finish is unpleasantly bitter

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty dark fruit aroma. Fruity malty spicy yeasty dark fruit flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty dark fruit finish.

Bottle, courtesy of - and shared with - Maltmisjonen; cheers man! :-) Pours a deep nut brown body with a small white head. Nose is spelt-wheat-ish grainy tones, caramel, wort, hints of hay and raisins. Taste is sweet grains, raisins, banana, wheat, nuts and hints of caramel and biscuits. Interesting touch of grains, which I also get in the other Malmgård beers - could it be the self-grown, self-malted spelt and other cereals? Medium mouthfeel and carbonation. A nice mellow dubbel-ish BSA from this exciting new Finnish brewery.

From bottle at Beer13. Pours dark amber with a tan head. Aroma of dark dried fruits, yeast and malt. Nice Belgian yeast influence. Sweet, fruity and quite well balanced. Alcohol is well integrated. Another decent Finnish beer... (2013-04-19)

The appearance is nicely dark and hazy. Tastes quite sweet. Maybe not the easiest beer to drink.

Bottle @ Home. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Aroma of malt, licorice, bread. Flavor is malt, caramel, brown sugar, licorice, bready. Medium body, soft carbonation. 230313

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, yeasty and unpleasant phenols. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. 220313

Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are burnt plastic, bubble gum, caramel, malt and hops.

Bottle, 8%. Amber with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, dark fruits, caramel, yeast and toasted. Flavour is malt, yeast, dark fruit, medium sweet, caramel, phenols, candy sugar, spices and a little bitter.

Bottle 0.5l at Villi Waino, Helsinki. Colour is clear orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Belgian yeast, dark fruits, sweetness, spices and malts.
