Tummaa suklaata tuoksussa. Melko vaalea väri, hieman samea koostumus. Alkumaussa kahvia, jälkimaussa paahteisuutta ja happamuutta. Jälkimaku melko voimakas ja alkoholinen.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
0.5l bottle. Have to work pretty hard just to get a small head on this one, and even after all that hard labor all I got was a bubbly quickly fading just off-white thing. This on top of a cloudy dark plum orange/brown body. The nose has a good amount of ripe old fruits, the sweet kind, there are cardboard traces here, dark candied sugar, plums with just a little bit of acidity, yeast and a good dash of Belgian yeast. Not bad, a bit mellow at first but it opens up after a while in the glass. Far out there on the sweet side of the scale this. Lots of yeasty zesty alcohol in the taste. It has a light oily mouthfeel with a soft carbonation level. Traces of minerals, rocks, earth. It’s quite filled with nuts and sweet berries also this. Dark candied sugar before it ends slightly warning. Mahh, not completely mine thing. 01.08.2013

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a clear golden with a fast diminishing head. Aroma with wheat, corn and sweet yeasty notes. Taste is heavy belgian yeastyness with a light acidic touch. Still pretty sweet, but not overly. Lacks in complexity and doesn’t really cut it for me. Medium carbonation.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
0.5 bottle. Light brown color with a reddish tinge, small and off-white head which leaves a seriously thick lacing. Aroma is mostly malty with some dried fruits and a small touch of typical, Belgian yeasts. Taste is bittersweet with the former dominating the mix, sweetness comes mostly from malts and bitterness is connected to this dried fruits part; alcohol is noticeable as well. Medium to full body, slightly creamy texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is more astringent than the rest and bitterness does not subside so quickly; the hints of dried fruits are quite perceptible, especially some berries. Overall the beer is really good, has its own unique character, and is great even though it does not fit the typical character of a Belgian ale.
