(Draught, rated 2011-05-31) Murky red-brown with a small, firm and lacy head. Quite mild aroma with exotic fruit, not much else. Somewhat bitter, grapefruity flavor, slightly yeasty-ashy, caramely-malty. Medium body, slightly stingy-bitter, soft CO2. Doesn’t quite feel like American IPA - more like a mix of a British and Norwegian one. No cat pee, but too rough bitterness with little fruity freshness.

Orange golden body, white head. Aroma of really nice english IPA, vainilla, fruits and crisp malt. Semi bitter, malty body, some yoghurt on the flavour. Caramelly and fudgy.

Draught at Kaisla. Amber hazy, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, light caramel and fruitiness, piney and grapefruit hoppyness. Body is medium,malty and dryish flavor, lots of piney hoppyness, faint caramel and fruitiness. Finish is average to long, malty and dry, lots of piney hoppyness. Really nice dryish IPA, not too much caramel and fruitiness considering the hoppyness. Flavor could use more hoppyness.

Clear pale golden colour with small white head. Fruity citric, mildly watery aroma with some sugar and candy notes. Bitter sugary fruity flavour with bitter hops and malt. Long-lasting bitterness. Very refreshing and enjoyable IPA.

Poured pale amber in colour with off-white head. Raspberry aroma with some piney hops. Fruity and sweet in flavour. Slightly bitter finish.

Draught@ Kaisla, Helsinki 11.5.2011. Poured amber/orange color with a thick white head. Aroma is raspberries, hops, citrus, quite fresh. Flavor is piney, fruity hoppy. Finish is very bitter. Nice session beer.

Draught@Kitty’s
Pale amber color, good creamy off-white head. Aroma is light, has some caramel and woody-grassy notes. Medium-bodied. Woody, grassy hoppyness with some alcohol and malts. Short hoppy-fruity finish. Quite standard. Ok session IPA but lacks something, now a bit hard and uninspiring. Perhaps more hops?

(Draught at William K Kurvi, Helsinki, 20110506) The beer poured deep golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, citricness and orange. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, pine, fruitiness, mildly sweetness and quite intense bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter and also bitingly acrid. The acridness dropped my rating for this beer. Otherwise this was quite ok.

Pours dark orange with a minimal head. Aroma has hints of hops and pine. Taste starts out as quite sweet but American hops kick in quite fast. Sticky, bitter finish. Enjoyable IPA, nice to see more Finnish breweries try the style.
