_angst_ (2371) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 29, 2013
330 ml bottle bought through Systembolaget. Pours cloudy deep reddish golden with a huge frothy and fluffy goldenish white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some thick trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and fruity with biscuits, overripe tropical fruits, orange peal, overripe lemons, red apples, acetic acid, cereal, pine needles, wood and hints of compost. Taste is sweet and bitter with cereal, bread, orange peal, red apples, pine needles, grapefruit rinds and hints of compost, metal and gastric acid. Mouthfeel is astringent, tiny watery, tiny tart and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter with bread, cereal, pine needles, wood, orange peal, grapefruit rinds and overripe lemons. Not too fresh and not very good at all.

ElDesmadre (1361) - Mikołów, POLAND - APR 23, 2013
Bottle, traded with Cunningham. I’m going against the grain on this one, it’s absolutely fantastic. Aroma is like a fresh opened can of lychee, coupled with mandarine, with more subtle notes of citrus, flowers and yeast thrown in. The flavour is on the tropical-hoppy side, resting on a solid, chewy malt base, and all is carried by a creamy carbonation towards a grapefruity-bitter finish and the aftertaste of mandarine. Absolutely delicious!

Very hazy dark amber beer, Big off white head. Strong toffee malt in the semi soft palate. Mild carbonation. Sweet orange. Malt cream. Mild tropical fruits. Sweet tangerine and a little sherbet. Smooth finish. A little bitterness. Like this! Not too aggressive and a little different.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 28 Sep 2012) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, orange and a touch of caramel.
