COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Pundarquartis (18) - Odense, - SEP 27, 2010
Bottle from Systembolaget. Has an oily black texture in the glass with a minimal brown head. When you smell it you immediately feel the cocoa and then som pleasant toffee and grass. The taste is also dominated by cocoa without becoming either too bitter or too sweet, perfect balance. However, it lacks in mouthfeel, it doesn’t quite feel as heavy as the taste suggest. All in all though, this is a fantastic brew for a brewery’s first beer.

Tap at the Bishop’s Arms, Copenhagen. The aroma is big chocolate, leading to a medium bitter flavour with chocolate, roasted malt, a little coffee and liqourice on the palate. Superb chocolate porter I have to say.

Draft at bishops arms. Pours almost black with a small tan head. Aroma is massive chocolate milkshake, with light roast, toffee and fudge. Flavour is over moderate sweet and light bitter. Light to medium bodied with flat carbonation.

Draft @ En Whisky och Öl mässa in Gothenburg. Black colour, brown head. Aroma is dominated of sweet maltynes, cacao, caramelly. Flavor had a nice caramelly, dark choclate mouthfeeling, some fruitynes was there too. Medium body, long coffee, dark choclate and some vanilla finsh.

Tap at Man in the Moon. Dark brown colour with an off-white head. Very surprisingly the aroma and flavour are both heavy with cacao. There are hints of something else, coffee, dark malt perhaps, but generally there is cacao.

Brown, almoust black beer with a one finger high creamy foam. Vanilla, chocolate, rosted coffee, hops, rosted nuts, licorice and malt. Teh body is a litte to light... But it is a great Porter!

larsga (5325) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 7, 2013
Small beige head. Opaque black body. Roasty cocoa aroma with toffee notes. Sweet vanilla and cocoa taste with perfumy notes. Full-bodied. Mild, powdery mouthfeel. Sweetish vanilla and cocoa aftertaste with perfumy molasses notes. It’s not bad, but too heavy and perfumy. (0.75l bottle shared by KnutAlbert.)

Bottle: Thanks Benzai: Thin tan head/lacing on top of a brown dark red colored beer. Aromas of gass, cacoa, chalk, red fruit, toast/roast. Flavours berries, light sour, liquorice wood, cacao, chalk, roast and some yeast. Aftertaste is stronger than the taste itself, cacao, chalk, roast and herbal toast. Medium carbo, soft light sparkling mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller body and a light watery texture. Strange but tasty beer. Sour at first, than a strong cacao chalky roast comes through. Refreshing porter.

Bottle shared with Joes, Dutchdrebus, Countbeer and Martinus. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized beige head. Aroma is quite heavy imo, lots of cocoa and some alcohol. Taste malts, red fruit, cocoa, a slight sourness. Medium body and carbonation.
