Large light brown persistent foam characterize this porter. It has good aroma of chocolate and coffee. The taste is rich and good of lovely gentle coffee notes, and after a short time superseded those of dark bitter chocolate. It is nice and tasty, but I would like to see a little more filling from the chocolate, only so that it could live more up to its name.

Pours dark with medium head. Aroma: beautiful quality-chocolate aroma, coffee, a touch of vanilla. Taste: very smooth, with clear coffee and chocolate taste. ABV very well hidden. Nicely balanced.

Aroma: Smells of smoke and wood, some chocolate.
Appearance: A clear dark brown beer, a tan head with good lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Staring with sweet brown sugar, then smoked sausage and some dark fruits.
Palate: Little carbonation, soft and oily, a nice dry finish.
Overall: An easy session-able good porter, nice smoke touch.

Bottle (I think) at Ölstugan 1892 Tullen Andra Långgatan, Göteborg, 23/03/14. Black with a moderate tan covering that retains. Nose is light roast, vanilla, spice, dark toffee fudge, cacao liqeur notes, dark berry fruit. Taste comprises cacao nibs, rich chocolate fudge, vanilla, sweet pangs, dark malts, dark toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough if a little sweet in place, but does what it says on the tin well!

On tap @ M&F. Pours a deep red color with a light-brown head. Aroma if chocolate. Taste of roasted malt and milk chocolate...and lots of it. Medium body and low-ish carbonation. Sweet and pleasant with a nice aftertaste of roasted and milk chocolate. Not fantastic but otherwise a very solid chocolate stout. I'll have again it if I find it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @ the brewpub. Fresh and unfiltred this way surpasses the bottled versions i’ve had before. Feels like it varies alot between the batches, this latest one was a good one, slightly too demanding in alcohol but the aromas are perfect.
