Smells like caramel and rye. Wow. This tastes like a combination of dried apricots, dried pineapple, some malt. Crazy fruity, but with a flavor that isn’t bad. Too expensive, but otherwise I totally enjoyed this.

reddish-brown colour with a big creamy head, complex aroma of nougat, rose and hazelnut, rounded and full-bodied, some sweetness, long malty and earthy finish with more nutty notes and a touch of spices - impressive and dangerously drinkable - thanks to fiulijn for this one

Reddish Madeira color. Cherry aroma, cassis (blackcurrant). Very good taste: sweetness and perfumy hop, some fruitness. Not too much bitterness in the palate, but round malt.

Oaky barrel funk with doughy yeastiness. Savory mineral components to go with a tangy and lightly sour profile. Semi-dry finish, very nice.

Thank you to the belgian connection for this at the zythos.......Pours an amber hue with a nice tan head. Aromas of light cocoa, a little honey, and some brown sugar. Flavors of the same with a nice smooth flavors. A very interesting brew.

Bottle... Very hazy, dark red ale with little to no head. The aroma is restrained and grainy, but also malty, fruity and vinous. Full-bodied with crisp carbonation. Sweet, but tangy. Fruity, but hearty and rich with chewy malts and dark fruits. Sweet, dark fruit finish. After one week of drinking and thinking about rare Italian beers, I’ve discovered that, like Americans, Italian brewers are all over the place nowadays. However, Italians have not yet discovered the wonder of heavily hopped beers... and, for the most part, neither have I.

Bottle, courtesy of Lorenzo @ ZBF 2005. Deep chestnut, moderate buttery yellow head and gentle condition. Buttery sweet toffee and alcohol in the nose, Spirity in the mouth with more sweet caramel notes tailing off in the finish where a gentle balancing bitterness emerges.

Mmmm, different and good! We likes it. Looked up Rue and I just hope..... nevermind. Poured with a smallish off white head and a little lace. Aroma is - odd, good, but odd: spicey malty rich roasty and a little bakelite. Flavor we really picked up on the rue. Nice stuff. Good body and carbonation. Nice finish. A litle like ginger. Good finish. Borderline session depending upon mood.

Dark amber. Fast beige head. Aroma: Caramel, herbs, spices. Flavor: The same with dried fruits. Coffee/fruit finish with a hint of alcahol. Not bad, I personally liked this beer.
