500mL bottle, courtesy of argo0. Thanks, Aaron! Pours a hazy, orange-reddish color; off-white head with excellent retention and lacing. Toasty, nutty presence in the aroma; some cola and baked goods. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: lively carbonation; nuttiness, dried red fruits, chestnuts, and toasted grains; interesting peaty beer, with a touch of pepper in there as well. Medium finish: nuts, peat, and some dry spice.

Medium cloudiness to a dark orange or brown body with a medium sized head. Has a nutty mouthwash or toothpaste mint and spice smell, some malty forward bran notes and a chestnut and peanut skin smell and flavor throughout. A little plain overall, a bit of a simple flavor, but nice enough, and different, to score some points. Some ginger root and light cocoa make an appearance at warmer temperatures, as does a more pronounced peanut/chestnut character, and some very light smoked (smoked nuts) flavors.

Not what i was expecting at all! Very smokey aroma, malty, caramel notes in the nose. Pours cloudy amber brown with a thin white head. Smokey caramel flavors dominate, extremely smooth and creamy! Great beer! Hey italy you guys are putting out some great stuff!!

Courtesy Redlight. Pours a cloudy, light caramel brown. A short, foamy, bubbly, cream colored head leaves minimal, spotty lacing behind. The nose is beautiful, with distinct notes of chestnut, almond oil, vanilla, and honey showing atop a rich, caramel malt base. The flavor follows suit, as roasty chestnuts and almonds are enveloped by vanilla, caramel, and honey. There’s a light smokiness towards the finish, fading into lingering toffee sweetness at the very end. Substantial, sweet, silky body. Really nice brew that leaves you wanting more.

Thanks to Redlight for sharing. Liht smoked sausage aroma (didn’t expect that!) along with a strong roasted nuttiness. Flavor is malty and smoky, with a smooth and easy, slightly caramelized finish. This is one strange kitty.

Bottle... Clear caramel-colored ale with an orange tint and a small, creamy, off-white head. Decent retention. The nose is an intermingling of dark malts and roasted nuts (think chestnuts roasting on open coals in mid-town Manhattan around Christmas time); very rauchbier-like. Full-bodied with moderate carbonation. Sweet, but not cloyingly so. Chestnuts, toffee, caramel and a puff of campfire smoke. Nutty, sweet, smoky finish. What’s up with Italians knowing how to brew?
