75 cl bottle, teku. Pours a medium brown, dense and bubbly head; almost black brown colour with some gloden reflexes. Smells toasted malts, coffee, cocoa, rubber/licorice and toffee; a nice wrapping aroma.Taste is very roasted and malty intitially, with coffe, dark chocolate, and gradually more bitter and licoricy. Consistent body, soft carbonation, quite long and persistant aftertaste in the finish.

10/11/2013 La Tana (handpump). Nera, impenetrabile, schiuma cappuccino abbondante e molto persistente. Al naso sentori di lattosio, cappuccino, cioccolata, leggera nota affumicata, ottima! In bocca scivola giù che è una bellezza, elegante e ben equilibrata, dolciastra con finale amarognolo, cioccolatosa e caffettosa. Corpo medio-leggero, carbonazione soft. Gran bella porter!

[10/18/13] Cask at Open Baladin in Rome. Black-colored with some tan foam. Great smoky and roasty aroma, a bit meaty, with some coffee. Nice sweetish smoky and roasty flavor with some coffee, sausages, light chocolate notes and a drier finish with a bitter note. Medium-bodied. Very good.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Black with a tan head. The aroma is full of huge milk chocolate notes with some roasted malt and lactose. Very sweet. The flavor is similar with some chocolate, roasted malt and lactose sugar. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottiglia 75 cl. Scura con schiuma marroncina persistente. Corposa, carbonazione giusta a mio parere, decisa nei toni di caffè. Amarezza persistente. Veramente ottima!

Bottle shared with birthday girl Sue at Open Baladin, Roma - 10/02/13. Light black with a good sized tan head. Nose is dark roast malts, light soap, chocolate, molasses, touch of coffee, some dark fruits. Taste comprises milk chocolate, roast malt, touch of soap, dark fruits, light smoke. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasty finish. A decent 6.5% stout, not too complex but delivers.

Pours extremely black with a filthy brown head. Nose is metallic, oxidized, light coffee and chocolate. The taste is sweet and bitter with a small tart tinge. But not bad. The mouthfeel is soft and smooth, light body and a long finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Bir e Fud in Toms, Italy. Tan head, light body, dark appearance, smooth taste. Overall great but honestly ill probably forget it in the large stout world. But I’m glad I found it on this cold rainy day.

Bottle sampled courtesy of Zach at Kramer’s Campdown Brewdown 2012. Pours a pitch oil black body with no head, light carbonation. Aroma is wine, oak, pepper and light roast. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of red wine barrel, toasted wood, roast, coffee, earth, oak, sharp alcohol and bitter espresso. Interesting.
