only 84??? ONE OF MY FAVOURITE DUBBEL!!! this beer has got a great fruity aroma and an incredible sweet fruity taste. Reddish-light brown colour. Don’t worry for the quite body, this is an amazing abbey dubbel. Probably the master-brewer has came to study in a trappist monasterium in Belgium. This is an italian masterpiece. Other notes as malt and caramel. The end is very good with a touch of alcool and spices. SUPPORT this incredible microbrewery, the master-brewer is the nicest and most polite person in the world of beer!!! A MUST!

750ml bottle with minimal graphic, reddish brown capsule; pours dark brown with a decent beige head, liquor looks very thick in the glass. Nose is dark and decently complex, with licorice and prunes, dark fruits and burnt caramel. Sweetness lingers in the mouth, leaving anyway space to a slightly bitter finish like sweetened coffee: the nose gave better expectations, and at each sip this brew feels a bit unrefined, maybe a bit too young (my fault). Body is effectively a bit sticky, not very Belgian I should say. A rather demanding strong ale, not an everyday beer as one could think. Never have been a fan of this genre unless examples shining for complexity or drinkability, and this is not the case either; sorry Maltus Faber, your ales are usually excellent but I did not dig this one that much.

Color marrone scuro con bella schiuma beige. Aroma simile allo stile belga, caramello e cioccolata predominano. Anche in bocca è piacevole, dolciastra e bevibile, ma sul finire si notano sentori acidi e metallici che fanno scendere il livello complessivo della birra. Peccato perchè ammiro questo birrificio, ma ci può stare...

Gift from tonycaviar, big thanks!! Poured murky, with a ruby-brown color and a nice beige lacing head. Spices, wood cask, forest berries, honey, plum cellar and red grapes in the aroma. Medium bodied and carbonated, somewhat oily consistency. Sweet taste and aftertaste. Well hidden alcohol, smooth, goes down easy.

Murky deep mahagony-brown beer with a nice fomay-creamy tan-beige head. Aroma of toffee, honey, spicies like clove, cinnamon, vanilla, mild chocolate and cocoa, wild forest berries and dried fruits. Interesting oak character. Medium bodied dubbel with a mild toffee and chocolate taste, fruits, raisins and plum, honey, light roasted-coffee flavor, some vinous notes. Light hop lurking in the finish bwith some roasted grains in the aftertaste. Verywell hidden alcohol, easy to drink, fine.

Bottled. An unclear deer red beer with no head. The aroma has notes of malt, over ripe fruits, and yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, yeast, fruit, and berries, leading to a dry metallic finish. The body is light. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Draught at Open Baladin, Roma. Pours mahoganey with a thick creamy tanned head. Aroma and flavour of dark fruits, anise, chocolate, earth and spicy yeast. Smooth mouthfeel. Rich fruity finish. Tastes great.

[ Trade by Dedollewaitor ]. Clear medium to dark red brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, nutty, brown sugar - cane sugar, moderate yeasty, english licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091128]

Bottle @ Brewery. Pours unclear brown with a small stable creamy head and lacings. Complex nose and taste. Chocolate, toffee, vague roast, fruit, yeast. Warmth from alcohol. A bit oily and vinous. Smooth . . . Nice.
