COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial is inspired to the dark and strong ales once brewed in England and exported to Russia to warm the Zars’ cold winters. It is a very dark beer, almost black, with a full body and notes of coffee, chocolate and liquorice. Long, bitter finish. Can be paired with dark chocolate, best paired with a good cigar and a quiet conversation with friends

Bottle, from trade with Dedollewaitor. An unclear one, dark brown in color and completely headless. Soy sauce, beef stock, roasted malts and some coffee and alcohol in a quite heavy aroma. The flavor follows the same patterns, sure on the malty side, with a little warming touch. Full-bodied, and a bit low on carbonation. Lasting finish with soy sauce, beef stock and roasted malts. Although dull looking, certainly a tasteful and pleasant beer. 110916

Corpo medio-pieno, consistenza vellutata, carbonazione corretta. Elegante, complessa, bilanciatissima.

Bottle. Thank you for sharing this one Dedollewaitor! Pours pitch with a small cappuccino colored head. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, roasted malt, licorice and some alcohol. Sweet, roasted and complex flavors with notes of caramel, dried fruit and warming alcohol. Really awesome beer!

Pours dark as night, no head. Nose is vanilla and whiskey. If I didn’t know better I would say this has sat in bourbon barrels for at least a year. Insane. Flavor is sweet and gives way to coffee bitterness. Mouthfeel is crisp and creamy, heavy body. What a hidden gem this is.

A fantastic imperial stout, original and with a great use of malts. The difference between it and the big part of the other "IS", is that this amazing black beer is very drinkable and for the "small" alcool % it isn’t bitter! Aroma is strange but very good. A bit complex in the mouth. The finish is of licorice. ITALIAN IMPERIAL STOUT, nothing to envy to other "IS". warning!
