DruncanVeasey (5150) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, - SEP 7, 2010
The Postal Order (JDW), Worcester. Resolving pale gold, big nitro swell of head. Sulphur and weak grassiness aroma. Sourish, earthy gooseberry fruit developing a good punchy bitterness. Some softening bread and corn. Big malt length- lingers with cream, nuts and Twiglet yeastiness. Dry and empty.

Cask conditioned at The Royal Oak, Prestbury, Gloucs. Gold to amber with slight head. There is a strong apple fruitiness in this, quite sharp on the palate, fruity right the way through. Not sure.

Not red at all, but named after Gilbert de Clare, a 13th century earl of Malvern Chase. This is a pale blond ale with a zesty citric hop character in the aroma and the flavour. Very crisp and refreshing. No great complexity, but a nice beer. Cask (gravity), Red Lion Beer Festival, Isleworth.
