BeerViking (1421) - Lüneburg, Lower Saxony, GERMANY - JAN 20, 2013

Dark with a tight creamy head. Distant aroma of citrus and pine, quite thick bodied with alcohol and hop bites, initially lacking in depth or interest but it improves as the chill eases off, with notes of dark fruit, treacle and pine gradually coming through. A bit syrupy for an IPA though, and more reminiscent of a bittered-up Doppelbock.

Dunkel hefiger Beginn. Angenehme aber deutlich zu geringer Hopfen. Wenig getreidig, zu mild. Süffig, verbesserungswürdig. 12/11/9/9//9
