On tap at bierhuis gent. Roady light brown though I found the finish to be a little thin and watery.

Dark brown pour. Some aromas of dark fruit, coffee grounds. Flavours are bitter coffee, some dark fruit. Average.

Drunk at the Waterhuis in Ghent alongside the other housebeers. The menu reads ’Full of taste and low in alcohol. Ladies...’ which I found funny. Only in Belgium would you consider 6.5% to be low in alcohol. Pours Reddish Amber with a cream head. Sweet and fruity with a thick caramel sweetness. Quite nice.

Draft at Het Waterhuis aan de Bierkant. Pours hazy amber brown with a cream head. Aroma of malt, caramel, biscuit and light raisin. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Poured reddish brown with an off white head. Aroma of caramel malt, dark fruit. Medium body, flavour as the aroma. Seemed like a weaker version of the Klokke Roeland.

On tap at Waterhuis aan de Bierkant. Amber-ish pour with white head. Aroma is malty, doughy and bready, light fruity notes, low/absent hoppiness. Taste is sweet, malty, a bit bland really, a touch of caramel and fruity yeast. Palate is light bodied, feels a bit thin on the tongue. Kind of a watered down version of Klokke Roeland, but at least it isn’t as aggressing as the high abv beer.

Made for the Waterhuis aan de Bierkant, a renowned beer pub in Ghent and named after the Ghent story of a man being breastfed by his own daughter whilst being imprisoned in order to stay alive. Yellowish beige, stable, regular head, deep bronze colour with yellowish hue, clear. Aroma of caramel, walnut, sherry, chocolate, buttermilk, cherries, coffee grounds, elderberries. Sweet caramelly taste, smooth and resinous, liquorice, candied fruits, nutty and caramelly malts, but a bit disappointing in the finish, where only a cloying sweetness remains along with some faint floral hops - leaving a somewhat watery effect.

Ruikt droppig. Prima schuim maar niet de mooiste kleur bruin. Prikkelend en dorstlessend, niet heel speviaal Van suus, tap in Gentse bier kroeg

Draught @ Het Waterhuis an de Bierkant, Gent. Pours hazy rich amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and fruit, with notes of yeast. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, with fruity and estery touches, and hints of metal towards the finish. Estery and mildly hoppy aftertaste. Lively carbonation. Okay but nothing really special.

Dark amber coloured with an off-white head, lasting. Sweet, malty aroma, faint caramel, lightly hopped. Sweet starting flavor, light laqurice, light dark bread. Harmonic.
