Clear ruby red to brown beer, creamy irregular off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: spicy, grains,s weet malts, caramel, hint of goat cheese, very weird! MF: ok carbon, medium body. taste: metallic, bit sugary, caramel, bit of mocha, grains, toast. Aftertaste: little nutty, caramel, toast, metallic, bitter finish, git grassy. Nothing too special, but at least it’s not overly sweetened.

UPDATED: JUL 17, 2013 draught, Het Waterhuis aan de Bierkant, 2011. - Far as I remember from the 2-3 draughts I had here, pretty traditional Belgian strong ale, yeasty, foamy, golden and rounded, sweetish, some fruit overtones - but somehow "contained" in its tradition: as with many Van Steenberge contract and house beers: solid, no surprises, could do with less sugar and more hops.
