Bottle. It pours a dark brown color with a nice khaki head. The aroma has notes of cocoa powder, tobacco and freshly turned earth. The flavor is similar and pretty dry with spent coffee grounds. It’s smooth on the palate with noticeable bitterness balanced nicely by some dirty roasted malt.

On tap at Yosemite Lodge. I have to be careful not to overblow this review since I had mine after a long hike, and it was a most welcome beverage. Pours dark brown, almost black, with a medium off-white head and good lacing. Strong aroma of roasted malts, coffee, and a little chocolate. Taste mimics the aroma, with a creamy coffee mocha flavor. Slightly watery, but otherwise an extremely good offering.

Yes. Body of a heavy porter, but the nutty goodness of a brown. This beer is huge, but drinkable. Lots of nutty, woody, earthy brown ale notes in here, with a little booze tinge to warm. I love it.
