COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Redolent of coffee and dark chocolate, Double Nut Brown is our amped-up version of a traditional brown porter. This dark ale combines a mild sweetness with a finishing roasty dryness, and is brewed with roasted, brown and dark Munich malts.

Bottle-22oz into tulip: Pours dark clear amber brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma of brown nuts and creamy coffee. Taste is pleasantly nutty with hints of cream, coffee, malts and chocolate.Medium body, thick feel, long finish. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Bottle. It pours a dark brown color with a nice khaki head. The aroma has notes of cocoa powder, tobacco and freshly turned earth. The flavor is similar and pretty dry with spent coffee grounds. It’s smooth on the palate with noticeable bitterness balanced nicely by some dirty roasted malt.

Bomber poured a clear reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of roastiness, coffee, nuts, cocoa and light earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa, roastiness, coffee, light earthiness and light nuts with a smooth lingering cocoa finish.

On tap at Yosemite Lodge. I have to be careful not to overblow this review since I had mine after a long hike, and it was a most welcome beverage. Pours dark brown, almost black, with a medium off-white head and good lacing. Strong aroma of roasted malts, coffee, and a little chocolate. Taste mimics the aroma, with a creamy coffee mocha flavor. Slightly watery, but otherwise an extremely good offering.

Yes. Body of a heavy porter, but the nutty goodness of a brown. This beer is huge, but drinkable. Lots of nutty, woody, earthy brown ale notes in here, with a little booze tinge to warm. I love it.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2012 Bottle. Dark brown pour with a frothy tan head. Aroma is lighr coffee, roasted malt, and a light nutty character before a slight sweet malt finish. Taste is light coffee with chocolate and a somewhat generic nutty brown ale flavor and some minimal roast. Mouthfeel is light and lacking definition. Not bad but the flavor profile was a bit loose.

Really well made and tasty. Real espresso/choco flavor. Nutty with a good palate.aftertaste ratio. I would drink this all night. Slightly heavy but great.

Great coffee aroma to this beer and a smooth finish. I dont think i agree with the bartenders description of a "Guinness like" beer, but very good. I would definitely have another.
