Yes. Body of a heavy porter, but the nutty goodness of a brown. This beer is huge, but drinkable. Lots of nutty, woody, earthy brown ale notes in here, with a little booze tinge to warm. I love it.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2012 Bottle. Dark brown pour with a frothy tan head. Aroma is lighr coffee, roasted malt, and a light nutty character before a slight sweet malt finish. Taste is light coffee with chocolate and a somewhat generic nutty brown ale flavor and some minimal roast. Mouthfeel is light and lacking definition. Not bad but the flavor profile was a bit loose.

Really well made and tasty. Real espresso/choco flavor. Nutty with a good palate.aftertaste ratio. I would drink this all night. Slightly heavy but great.

Great coffee aroma to this beer and a smooth finish. I dont think i agree with the bartenders description of a "Guinness like" beer, but very good. I would definitely have another.

Bottle. Pours with a deep, hazed, chestnut hued brown body. Near black. A small off-white head that is somewhat slow to fade. Aromas are nutty, sawdust, cola, brown sugar, hazelnut, really dry, brown malt (seems). Dry, roasty, leathery, tobacco. Flavors are roasty, leathery, nutty, chocolate, fudge. A bit of coffee. A bit of an odd, lactic twang. That said it is tasty. Really malty, brown sugar (yet dry). Brown malt? Overall its pretty tasty. Lighter carbonation. Dry for what it is, lighter bodied. Good and nutty, roasty with lasting duration of flavors.

22oz bottle. Poured into tulip glass. Appearance: Dark black/brown in color. Minimal tan head. Good lacing. Aroma: Roasted malt, toasted nuts, caramel, coffee, espresso, vanilla, chocolate. Taste: Sweet mellow malts. Roasted hazelnuts, cocoa, coffee, light licorice. Palate: Med bodied, smooth but kind of light, good carbonation, leaves a clean taste, not too bitter. Overall: It’s pretty delicious. Would buy it again and will suggest it. Good flavors and easy drinking.

Don’t know what everyone else didn’t like about this, but the aroma was nice roasted malt. Also a nice flavor, roast and coffee.. Palate was medium body, would like thicker, and finished dry.
