Got this one via trade with Fordest, thanks Sean! From bottle. Pours a deep amber with thin tan head. Nose is a nice bouquet of floral and citrus hops with caramel malts. Taste follows up nicely with a clean finish. Great drinking IPA.

12 oz bottle. Clear dark amber color with no head at all. I can barely get any bubbles even by swiling. Aromas are wonderful. Grassy, very sweet grapefruit, tangerine. Flavors are very piney and typical IPA--Nice Hop bite. Not much carbonation. I wonder if my bottle leaked air? Strange for an IPA.

Nice strong floral hoppy nose and the mouth makes due on its promise. A nice complex medium-bodied hoppilicious IPA.

Tap. Pours orange with a moderate off-white head. Aroma is nice; hoppy, piney, and sweet. The taste is very smooth for an IPA with this many hops. A good call when you’re back in Mammoth.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Aubrey (3193) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - OCT 4, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 5, 2007 OK body and malt flavors, but I thought it had a great sweet-sour-bitter thing going on. Interesting interplay between the three. Notes of fresh-cut flowers, light grass, herbs, and honey. Nicely rounded and well balanced. RERATE (bottle from Bishop, Ca.): Nice head, lace and color. Smooth texture. Noticeable alcohol; not bad, though. Toasty malts. "Green" hops; kind of one-dimensional, but OK.

A hazy orange beer with a fine though collapsing white head. The aroma is lovely grassy and hoppy - and so is the flavor.

I found this beer at Mammoth Liquor. The beer poured a brownish red color w/ orange highlights; slight head and lacing. The aroma was full of grapefruits and pine w/ a slight hint of flowers. The flavor was of light oranges and pine. The mouthfeel was light and carbonated.

Ths IPA pours with an amber body topped by a thin head with some lacing. The aroma is full of grapefruit zest with a little pine, a touch of sweet malt and notes of flowers. The flavor is slightly sweet yet bitter with notes of grapefruit and pine. Seems a little weak, but still not bad. Light to medium bodied and smooth.

dark for the style -- a deep copper, white foam very hoppy , a bit on the sweet side for the style. Out of style it’s a very a very hoppy, carmelly beer lightly salty and smidgen of peat in a light medium body.

Had this on tap at the Tap in Mammoth Lakes. Has a light amber color with some carbonation and little head. Smell is of hops. Taste is very hopped and finishes with a hop bitterness. Overall a pretty good IPA.
