Bottle: Bronze, no head and light lacing. Nose of fresh earthy and lightly piney hops, clean. Caramelly, the flavor is balanced, light sweet, clean hops and malts. Finishes musky. Lightly earthy. Good.
2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 ChillCoat (1030) - Concord, California, USA - DEC 11, 2006
Bottle. Crystal clear copper color with a sizable ivory head. Piney hop aroma with tons of orange, lemon and grapefruit. Very fruity and somewhat diacetyl. The aroma is fantastic though!
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 beerguy101 (4924) - Newark, California, USA - DEC 10, 2006
This IPA pours a medium amber color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is piney and citrusy (orange and grapefruit), some caramel. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are caramel and sweet. Hops are piney and grapefruity. More hops in the aroma than in the flavor. Its more of an English style IPA, but still has a nice hop presence. A mild to medium bitter IPA. Malt sweetness is balanced by some nice juicy hops. Very drinkable IPA. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 HopheadHans (794) - Bay Area, California, USA - NOV 27, 2006
Bottle. Pours with an orange color. Aroma is dominated by fruit and honey.
The flavors are of honeysuckle, orange, honey combined with a malty backbone. The hops hits finally in the finish. So it is not a typical West Coast hop bomb but a bit more balanced. Nonetheless quite good.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - SEP 23, 2006
This pours a very deep copper/amber body with a dinkus white head. Pleasant aroma of tart oranges, tangerines, and pink grapefruit atop a sweet caramel base. This has a thick mouthfeel. Tastes okay, but somewhat of a disappointment because the aroma promised more hop bitterness. Chewy caramel. The finish is candy sweet with a mild earthy bitterness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 TheLeadDog (101) - Kent, Washington, USA - SEP 20, 2006
I sampled this brew in Bridgeport Calif. at $10.00 a 6 pack! A good IPA but not great. Good color, and head. Taste of carmel and citrus. Not much in the way of hops. I like a little more body and aftertaste in a IPA and this beer fell a little short but better than the usual.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Odeed (1749) - Bakersfield, California, USA - AUG 23, 2006
clear orange body with a head that tried to creep up but never did.nice pine/citrus aroma with an earthy undertone.flavor mixed up ice tea, juicy fruit, and caramel malts.nice and balanced and a little under rated if ya ask me.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 realale420 (399) - west covina, California, USA - AUG 10, 2006
12oz bottle poured clear amber with very little carbonation and almost no head. Aroma has a good citrus and grapefruit hopping with a slightly sweet malt background. Taste is big on hops all around with some nice malt tones and a small alcohol bite. Overall a very enjoyable IPA that fits well among all the other west coast beers.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 kramer (3461) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 2, 2006
12 oz bottle, via fordest. Pours a clear copper with a fizzy off-white head that faded quickly to a thin film. No sediment in bottle. Very grainy and husky aroma with a little toasted and bready malts and a light piney hoppiness. Alot of graininess in the flavor as well. The hoppiness is there, but pretty restrained. The malt is light as well. Mouthfeel is light and slightly watery in texture with quite a bit of fizzy carbonation. Overall, a below average IPA to me.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 JahNoth (1039) - Rochester, New York, USA - MAY 25, 2006
Decent piney nose. Very flat pour, translucent amber in color. Nice hop bill translates to the flavor but the body is non-existant. I taste the simcoes and the amarillos, yes, and that’s good, but come on, have some backbone. The amber was watery, and so is this. Mammoth better amp the grain bill quick.
