3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JorisPPattyn (6747) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAY 8, 2012
Arbitrary score 4/5 for Appearance, as nighttime conditions prevented correct assessment. Very orangey hops, bit sweet-smelling. Bit sticky-sweet flavour, again much orange(peel) oriented with bitter resiny components. Kafir lime. Sticky MF too, feels light bodied and oily. Pffff...
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bu11zeye (10164) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 12, 2006
(Bottle) Pours a clear amber body with a small white head. Aroma of pine, caramel, and florals. Flavor of sweet malt, light pine, and cream. Seems a bit weak and watered down; more like a pale ale than an IPA.
3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Papsoe (23023) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 22, 2009
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of JohnC. Pours a hazy amber with an off-white head. Fat and juicy peachy hop aroma. Medium body, caramel and peachy hops with a distinct tartness - bordering sour. Hoppy finish. It may have survived a journey from Britain to India, but it didn’t make it from California to Denmark! 221109
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 RagallachMC (631) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - JAN 29, 2007
12oz bottle via trade with bu11zeye. Aroma: Light aroma, but smells fresh. Pine, light resin and floral. Touch of caramel. Appearance: Medium amber in color and clear. Off-white head was full and foamy with good retention. Nice lacing. Flavor: Some light caramel and cracker flavors up front. Hop flavor is nice, but seems a little low for the style. Pine, citrus, resin, floral, and grass into the finish. Light bitterness. Medium-dry finish. Palate: Medium-light bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: There was nothing wrong with this beer, there just wasn’t enough to it. It was quite drinkable, but was hoping for more.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - JUL 25, 2009
12oz bottle. Light amber color with some sediment from the bottle conditioning, capped by a clinging head. OK, this is where it gets weird. This is two shades away from being a great IPA, but something with the hop combo they use gives it this spicy, oniony vegetal aroma and flavor that just does not really work. The aroma has a nice hop intensity. The flavor has a nice dry, toasted malt base, higher bitterness, and plenty of hop flavor. The hops are spicy and floral, and if it werent for the vegetal character, I really think I would love this beer. Hopefully this is a crop quirk that might go away in the next year because it feels like this is a well made beer.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jrallen34 (3445) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 2, 2011
dark clear peach body, looks good, off white head that doesn’t last, not much going on there... the nose changes quite a bit, very complex, but sometimes its great other times bad, the nice notes are oranges with some really mellow dank notes, other times I smells like vomit... the taste is hot dank, a bit spicy with some pine hops, a total malt backbone but its not sweet, just sticky malt, not really successful... I’d pass on this

Pours orange in color. Aroma is strong and woodsy. Taste is strong too. But it stops heavy hopping midway through and has a solid set of flavors.
