Bomber shared with Doodler and company poured a clear reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of floral notes, biscuit, citrus, light earthiness and a hint of pine. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, lemon, grapefruit, pine and light floral notes with a crisp dry lingering bitter lemon finish.

Bottle with Doodler and Co. Thanks everyone! Cloudy, red-orange appearance with a light brown head. Floral hoppy, caramel malty aroma. Slightly soapy/floral hoppy, bitter caramel malty flavor.

Poured from the gift pack from the brewery. Aroma is spicy. Flavor is bitter, and also spicy. Lots of herbs. One of the most interesting ipas Iíve had. Color is darker burnt orange. Also Juniper is in there.

Bottle at Mammoth Mountains Inn. Clear redbrown with a light brown head, quickly gone. Aroma medium malty, caramel, juniper and sage. Flavor moderate sweet, heavy spicy. Medium body. To heavily spiced to be an IPA.

ok. first things first. This tastes more like a barleywine than a lot of the barleywines Iíve had. I am not sure what makes this an IPA. I guess the IBUís are right but the malt here is huge. Anyways. Aroma: INCREDIBLE Juniper, sage, malt, hops, herby, spicy. really amazing Appearance: Beautiful clear reddish brown with a big velvety tan head that lasts. Nice lacing Taste: big malt, complex malt, juniper a hint of sage and a nice hop linger but really the malt and the juniper play here so nicely Palate: a bit thin for all that flavor. Overall a really great beer. A great idea for those familiar with Highway 395 it really sums up the journey. A great use of local ingredients and an outstanding ale.

This pours a deep cranberry color with a very attractive and robust tan head. Nose is malts, citrus, and juniper. Medium body and a smooth creamy mouthfeel. The flavor is rich a good balance between the hops/juniper. and the malt. The finish is a combination between citrus hop bitterness and and juniper. Excellent beer.

I might be a tad higher on this bassed on the aroma. Loved it with a big pine hit and what I guess is the sage. A bit lacking in the flavor department, not close to the aroma. It was a bit thin in the mouth as well. A great beginning is not always a great ending.

Hello spring! This is what I come to expect from a IIPA. Pours a deep burnt orange color. Great brew. Has a bit of carbonation to it but that quickly goes away. Flavor is sweet and really nice on the palate. Great brew!

22oz bottle. Rating #96. Hazy dark brown pour with a little bit if orange highlighting the borders, the head was a little rocky leaving a moderate lace on the glass and somewhat beige in color. Very herbal, sage I think and some pine squeezes it way through just a little bit. The herbalness is really up front with the flavor as well and it is just a little sweet as well, very odd to me, but not bad overall. (1645)

Iím fonder than most of this beer. Itís got a great aroma-- herbs (and I usually donít pick out herbs, so makes getting herbs nice). Itís lightly malted with a hint of coffee. The color is a rich, dark amber.
