COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mammoth Brewing company is proud to our second annual Wet Harvest beer. This year, we chose to brew an imperial pale lager. Using pristine alpine water from the headwaters of the Owens Valley and cascade hops from Banner Springs Ranch in the Glass Mountains. The hops were harvested and bought to our brewery - still warm and moist from the field for every step of the brewing process. From mash-in though filtration. Using few speciality malts and a unique lager yeast the beer has all the hop character and bitterness of any IPA but was fermented cold at 50 degree F so at to further highlight the aromatic qualities of these high altitude wet hops.

A hazy yellow/golden colored beer, with a thick white head. The aroma of some malts and some fruits. The taste malty with overripe fruits. The aftertaste is sweet with notes of bitter.

22oz bottle. Rating #7. Nice glowing yellow/gold pour with a nice white head. I’m picking up hops and a little butter in the aroma. Flavor is similar unfortunately, something happened and it’s not good. (2237)

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2011 A - golden amber super clear pour with 1finger white head S - aromas of hops, musty barnyard hops, light notes of peaches. Unfortunately this beer has a pervasive odor of cat urine. As a long time cat owner this smell is unmistakable. And impossible to over look. M - robust body with little carbonation. Average palette. T - wet burlap fresh hops, musty earthy tones on the nose, slightly sweet peaches, musty lager ending. Tastes are good for a lager, unfortunately the cat urine smell in every sip. O - could have been an interesting lager with nice earthy musty nose and a lightly sweet peach to balance, but not of my friends could get past the cat pee. 2
