2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 frankenkitty (1953) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - JAN 31, 2007
Pours a fey pallid yellow with mild carbonation, a slight chill-haze and a white head. I knew exactly how it was going to look due to the clear glass bottle it came in. Brilliant! That grabs it a "1" in appearance... for being so considerate. Skunk aromas never truly fade, but there is a harsh Continental hop presence beneath. Flavor is actually pretty good, with sweet pale malts countered by those sharp, herbal hops. If I was in a dark bar with a stuffed nose I would probably really like this.

Very bland, thin, lager here. Flat and stale. Not much to say about this one.

Found this one bottled in Lombard, Illinois. Poured a light golden color, very clear and very bubbly, with a bubbly white head. Sour nose of lime and pine cleaner, somewhat dry with a watery finish. Like all pale lagers, this one is perfectly drinkable and completely unmemorable.

Poured a clear pale gold with effervescent bubbles and a thin white head. Very grainy aroma. Swwet, tart and malty. Malty and clean. Not terribly offensive. Very short flavor. Thin body finishes watery.

Pours a clear, lightly effervescent golden with a nicely-lacing, thin white head. Dry, hay and grassy aroma with a touch of grainy malt and rice. Body starts with a little biting carbonation and not much else. A hint of bittersweetness, but overall very bland and uninteresting.

Well let’s see if this can come close to the Commercial Description. Light straw color with a taller near foamy egg-white looking head. Light pale malt and a touch of floral hops, with a hint of chalk. The more this warms the more sickeningly sweet this smells with a stale honey sort od scent. A heavy pale lager flavor mixed with a touch of cheap vodka comes to mind after the first swizzle. Big bubbled carbonation hits the tongue and disrupts the feel. Lots of "cheap" sweetness going on. Some light sorghum, corn syrup and wild honey flavors. Maybe its the fact that virgin malt is sooo sweet. I need to stop while I’m ahead.

i was able to grab this beer at an indian grocery store in bloomington, il / medium straw body, thin, a bit active, small and foamy white head; eggwhites, grassy, primarily sweet, mineral water bite, sorta chewy... an aftertaste,... / definitely rare beer from expert!
