COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Despite being known for brewing lagers, Germany still brews a couple styles of ale. Altbier, a copper colored pale ale, is still brewed in the city of Dusseldorf and fermented with ale yeast at cooler temperatures. Our tribute to the old German brewery practices has a light fruit aroma that is not found in more recent styles. Using flavorful German malts and traditional noble hops, this balanced beer is sure to please a wide variety of palates. 5.2% ABV, 32 IBU’s

michael-pollack (4960) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 10, 2010
Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of malt, slight hops, and slight brown sugar. Poured amber/brown in color with a small to medium-sized, creamy, dense, tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Slightly sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is slightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, hops, nuts, slight wood, and slight rye. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Malt, hops, nut, and light rye finish is slightly sweet and lightly bitter. More of an Oktoberfest than an Alt, or a mix between the 2.
