COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Created by American homebrewers looking for more flavorful beer, the American brown ale style is intended to be a stronger, hoppier alternative to the classic English style. We use crystal and pale chocolate malts to provide a rich malt character which includes flavors of caramel, chocolate, and hazelnut while Simcoe and Cascade hops add aromas of pine and citrus.

On tap at the brewpub at the start of RBSG. Pours a clear amber brown with a medium sized beige head. Nice hop profile. Malty, nice and clean. Toast and a good amount of bitterness. Very well balanced, long toast, chocolate notes and a soft grapefruit bitterness on the finish.

Boy I really like this one. Big chocolate and caramel notes on the nose. Pours brown with a thin head. The taste has even more dark chocolate taste to it. Finishes fairly clean. This is a nice sipping beer.
