Besides being a beer style originating in Einbeck, Germany, Bock also happens to be the German word for goat. It seems appropriate that we name this dark and malty lager after Brian, the farmer who uses our spent grain as feed for his goats. With a garnet color and toasty and bready flavors from a large portion of Munich malt, Brian’s Bock is great paired with the Parthenon Puzze or the Chicken Parmesan.

Draft at Capone’s. Pours a deep shade of hazy ruby with 1-finger off-white head. Nose is intense melanoids, heavy red vinous fruit, melted caramel. Tastes malty, hoppy, vinous fruity, with a big earthy component, rye notes, a thick, rich palate, and a smooth finish. Well made. Edit: Kicking this down three tenths due to mid to late but pervasive diacetyls.

Man this place loves malty beers. Pours from tap a deep copper with a decent head. Big malty notes on the nose but more muted on the tongue. Finishes fairly clean. Not my favorite beer but drinkable.
