3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
on tap at Manayunk brewing, poured into pint glass
a: golden/amber hue, prickly head with decent retention. leaves lacing rings around the glass
s: citrusy and piney hop aroma dominates
t: surprisngly well balanced DIPA. sweet malt is only slightly overpowered by pine and citrus hops. This reminds more more of an English IPA with more fermentables and american hops. alchohol is well hidden.
m&d: light to medium bodied, well carbonated. Very drinkable beer for its ABV and can get you in touble with the sweetness.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Surprising. Big notes of orange, pine, all within a orange colored brew with two fingers of foam from can. West coast style, dry finish, grapefruit bitter. Strong bitter throughout. Bit of a pallette wrecker.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a nice looking semi-hazy burnt yellow color with a slim finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds. Light speckled lacing weaves its way around the glass in a messy sort of way.
The smell has a nice blend of sweet pineapple, light mango, a little bit of orange and a slight bitter pine hops.
The taste was mainly bitter with a semi-sweet dry citrus effect roaming across my tongue. There’s no aftertaste but has a quick dry citrus finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation comes across fairly well as a DIPA. Biter citrus rind hits my tongue decently.
Overall, as a DIPA it works. It’s a little more dry than some other DIPA’s I’ve had. Still good for the most part.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a bright golden color with an enormous foamy tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was gritty, leafy, piney and floral hops. The flavor was gritty, leafy, piney and floral hops. All hops with nothing to back it up. Medium length finish. Medium body. Alcohol well hidden. Ok.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours birhgt orange with a foamy two finger off white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus, tropical fruits, pine, sweet malts, and some light bready malts. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a meidum body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a moderately bitter, semi dry, medium-long finish. Overall, a pretty nice DIPA.

Nice IPA. Another example of balance in an IPA. Manayunk does a great job here. Citrus front with no bitter bite. Well done beer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Appearance- Clear light golden with a slight orange tint. Big fluffy white head with very good lacing. Long lasting head.
Aroma- Medium sweet, grapefruit,floral.
Flavor- Starts off on the sweeter side before the grapefruit bitter hop finish. A very good if not in the top tier of IPA beers.
