Although we donít recommend waking up to a pint of oatmeal stout, this version contains a traditional breakfast ingredient. Flaked oats add a smooth, silky mouthfeel to this already full-bodied stout while the use of roasted barley and chocolate malts contribute to its black color and strong, roasty flavor. Even with its relatively modest alcohol content, this is one of the heartiest beers we brew.

Pours nearly black from the tap with a big brown head that rapidly disappears. Big caramel malt on the nose. As you would expect from the oatmeal it has a fairly silky mouthfeel. Nice caramel on the tongue. Could finish a bit cleaner.

Draft. Pours near black with a tan head. Roasty aroma with a milk chocolate like sweetness. The flavor is roasty with some light burnt notes, coffee, and chocolate sweetness. Actually quite tasty.
