Pours a darker amber with a nice Tripel nose on it. Has a decent start of a belgian tripel taste but had a coppery/metallica aftertaste to it and frankly lacked the complex flavor i was expecting.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours golden orange with a thin head. The aroma is fruity sweet with some strange spicy notes. The flavor has a honey like sweetness, with fruit, spice and some floral notes. A bit muddled but still drinkable.

BCTWC 09. Hazy deep golden with a thin lasting head- good lace. Aroma is lightly phenolic with some clove- esters are kept in control- light banana and apple, earthy spices all around and a nice fresh bready malt presence. Spices and clove ar emore subdued in the flavor than some other tripels at the fest, but it works well- esters in check and a nice doughy creamy flavro with hints of clove, peppercorn, anise, and cardamon- sweet in the middle with honey adn candi sugar, but dries out nicely in the end.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a smaller bubbly white head. Aroma was very floral, candi sugar, banana, clove, Tripel spiciness and bready. Flavor of tropical fruits, banana, honey, orange, clove, peppery, candi sugar, nice and dry feel and 9% abv nicely hidden. Nicely done Tripel.
