Brewed with real pumpkin, this seasonal favorite is the one true indication that fall has arrived. The aroma of nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, and clove jump out of the glass creating an experience much like eating a slice of pumpkin pie on a brisk autumn afternoon. A perfect companion for any of our desserts. Formerly at 6.8%.

A hazy orange color, small white layer of head. Smell is nutty with pumpkin, cinnamon/spice, malt and bread. A good brew that tastes quite a bit like pumpkin pie. It’s all natural flavors bring out the yeast creating a bit of a dry beer. Nutmeg, spice and earth top it off. Light and airy.

Draft at Milkboy in Phila. Hazy orange amber pour that quickly resulted in no head. Ghostly pumpkin spice. Juicy body, but missing any strong flavors. Anomaly or not?

Bottle:   Very light example, spicy but muted.   Seems a touch musty.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Spices are there, its just not very bright.   Tiz okay, but too light.

Can from Weis market in Lewsiburg. Pours brown with a thin khaki head. Doesn’t leave much lacing. Faint pumpkin on the nose and tongue. At least it didn’t come off as artificial as a lot of pumpkin beers do.

12oz can. Poured an amber color with a small sized head. Stronger spices with lighter pumpkin and some caramel.

Can. Pours a clear copper body with a one inch foamy off-white head. Smells pretty typical, more spice than pumpkin, but not horribly so. Slightly sweet smelling with more nutmeg and cinnamon than anything, some caramel malt. The flavor is pretty well balanced as well, lightly spicy with nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon over a sweet caramel malt base. There is some pumpkin in here, but it’s clearly second fiddle to the spice bill. Lighter bodied and very drinkable due to the restrained sweetness, soft fizzy carbonation. This was pretty decent, better than many Pumpkin Ales.

I'm simply not impressed with this brewery. While significantly better than the Raspberry Sludge, Yucky Pumpkin has a dry finish, but not as sour as the Raspberry. ---Rated via Rumors Bar Pottsville, PA 570.622.8687

Can courtesy of Dave and Michelle, thanks! Golden amber color, white head. Aroma of light spice. Taste is not as heavily spiced as some of the other gourd beers out there.

Cloudy orange/brownish with little rimming white head; aroma is distinctly just like fresh pumpkin pie; Flava is lightish with def notes of pumpkin spice; feels lightish to medium with some foamy fizz; finishes dry with notes of sharp grain and hints of spice

Can into a glass. Nose of earthy pumpkin and some spices (nutmeg and allspice strongest), pours bright neon and slightly hazy orange with a dense, rocky off-white head. Full body nice and crisp, a little bit of grain, not too sweet, spices backed off to medium, perhaps a little below, though clove is the new winner. The earthy/vegetal note is still there but pretty clean, and there’s a light nutty/trail mix component that I like here and find absent in competitors. On the whole, the spice component is only one component over several (even if it remains as others drop out), and there is a refreshing sense of balance despite the generally bland base.
