Shared with mattel. Amazing aromas, hints of peaches, almonds, champagne, apricot, and honey. The whisky barrel maturing makes it really complex and well balanced. No hint of alcohol though the high ABV. Excellent barley wine.

Copper coloured, amazing smell of tropical fruits, pineapple, apricot, peach. Small whisky notes. Taste is really smooth, you can feel a small taste of the barrel aging in the end but the fruityness is awesome. Small sweetness and great balanced.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a longlasting off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy dark fruit caramel aroma. Sweetish malty spicy dark fruit flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel dark fruit finish.

What a barley wine! Big fruity smell with a lot of apricot and honey. You can feel a touch of the whiskybarrels in the taste but the fruityness is taking the most part of the taste. Leave it for another year and it will become even better. On bottle @ Man in the Moon

Tydlig fatkaraktär i doften, men smaken är mycket klen med enbart små toner av ek och en lätt rökighet. Ganska torr munkänsla och helt karaktärslös.

Bottle at Man in the Moon in February 2011. Dark amber with a small white head. Quite a lot of whisky both in the aroma and taste. The taste was totally dominated by the whisky. Also some spices, wood, alcohol and smoke. An ok beer but somewhat one-dimensional. Not worth the price according to me.

A really good balansed barley wine with lots of apricot in taste. Nice touch of the whiskey barrel, but not to much.

25cl bottle at Man in the Moon. Copper with a big and lomng lasting off-white head. Perfumed floral aroma with oak, vineous alcohol and a hint of almonds. Surprisingly dry for the ABV, slightly smokey malt and whisky flavour. The whisky is extremely fine tuned to the malt flavour except for a little warming alcohol, you don’t notice the ABV at all. Well done!

0.25 l bottle at Man in the Moon, Stockholm. Deep amber color. Sweet, caramelly, smoky, earthy, perfumed and yeasty aroma with notes of red currant. Sweet, smoky, peaty, vinous and caramelly flavor with red currants. Warming palate with soft alcohol. There are some nice vinous and berryish notes but the peaty-earthy element is detracting.
