3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Starts sharply and ends with a bitter tang, too, with hints of malt sweetness throughout. Aroma is mostly grapefruit though there is some caramel and a bit of freshly baked bread lurking. Body leaves a little pine resin on the tongue. Enjoy by date is nearly four months ago but the ale shows no problems.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, amber/copper in color, mice off white head and a bit of spotty lacing. Aroma of melon, and citrus fruit, combined with some malts. Taste is consistent, malty, sweet, bitterness from hops but a bit watery. Not bad, easy to drink but that’s pretty much it.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
4 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom in Mankato, Minnesota. Consumed on 4-25-15. Pours a hazy, orange-bronze with nearly white, frothy head. Hay dryness and cereal scent in the aroma. A touch of vomit-y beeriness drives down the smell. Clay and melting plastic scents. Pine and hay grassy dryness in the flavor. Long, likable, quite dry aftertaste. Very dry even for the style, which I like. A bit of lemon and clementine in the flavor. Also lemon and orange Fruity Pebbles in the flavor, an effect that I am picking up more and more these days and that I don’t like. Lively and frothy in the plate. Decent across the board except in the aroma, which is mixed. Definitely not outstanding in any area. I like it less and less upon multiple sips.

Bitterness that isn’t super strong but lasts for a really long time. Color is a golden orange. The head was very thin and light tan. Did not detect many aromatics.

Pour on tap at Beer Dabbler, slightly hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, biscuit into some orange, slight yeast into a bit of grain, spice, finishing with some earth. Taste was a mix of grass, orange peel, slight grain into some caramel, toffee, some toast, finishing bitter.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled from the tap at New Bohemia. Pours a clear golden amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has sweet citrus with a touch of bitterness and a strong earthy grain backbone. Flavor starts with a touch of sweet citrus but is mostly bitter grass and earthy bread.
