Can from The Wine Emporium 100914. This is a a big ballsy beer. Takes a bit to get through, chewy but good.

GBBF Day 4. Bottle? Hazy gold beer, residual white head. Palate is light, dry and crispy. Light sweet malts, nice cream. Tangerine hops. Chilli spice starts to burn. Touch of mango. Light semi dry finish. Chilli continues to burn. Tasty but overspiced.

Poured an orangey colour with 5mm of off-white foam that diminished quickly to a collar that laced poorly. Carbonation very low and medium. Aroma of nice floral hops, malt and alcohol. Taste with moderate bitterness with alcohol strong on the after-taste. Medium body with a syrupy mouthfeel. Nice and moderately strong hops but the alcohol on the after-taste disappoints.

Can. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma of caramelised pineapple, kumquat, pine, green capsicum. Sweet caramel, pine, green chile peppers, vague citrus. Bitterness struggles though and lands with a thud. Alcohol only sticks out at the end. Odd with a muddled finish. Didnít much care for this one.

Small can into a Sam adams glass. Pours a nice clear copper colour with a small off white head. Massive double IPA aroma fill with mostly citrus fruit, tangello, mandarine etc. Big fruity kick in the flavour with a heavy bitter that is just help up by a massive sweet malt. Can read 9.7%.

Can from mane liquor. Pours a bright orange with minimal head. Nose is sweet. Nectarine and peach come to mind. Taste is quite sweet. Light bitterness. Solid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from Mane Liquor. Just a solid double IPA. Nothing off the charts here but nothing to rave about. Just an easy going double IPA. Hides the booze damn well though

22oz bomber from Spirits Brick. Poured a clear burnt orange body with a smaller foamy white head. Aroma/flavor can be wrapped up as grains/grapes and grapefruit. Palate is big chewy and unforgiving, there is no question that this is an Imperial beer and the double digit ABV shines through big time. Wish the aroma/flavor was a bit more subtle but itís basically smack you in your face bitterness, which drops this whole beer to meh :-(

Draft at Moriartys. Clear orange gold with a slight foamy ring. No lace. Sugary malts. Strong earthy resins. Candied orange peels. Pineapple cores. Apricot pits. Varnish. Strong alcohol taste. Smooth caramel with a spicy hop bite. Body thickens towards the finish. Feels a bit like a Barleywine. Better than expected.
