Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Yellow with a white head. The aroma is full of orange and pine notes from the hops as well as a hint of biscuit malt. The flavor is fairly bitter with some resinous pine and orange notes. The alcohol is also fairly noticeable. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Standard double IPA. Nice orange color and smells like hops. I was just hoping for more.

We really did not like this beer compared to other Manzanita offerings. Cloying in a bad way, unbalanced , some hoppy beers leave a qualitative lingering taste, this leave a lingering taste that is not qualitative. Could have been a bad batch because Manzanita usually does a great job.

Bottle from Windy City. Pours a clear orange with faint white head. More herbal and slightly fruity and nice hop aroma. Very aromatic almost like a natural perfume. Flavor is smooth and caramel malt sweetness. Finish is pine bitter and the bite lasts with you for a while. Pretty drinkable but the west coast is full of ridiculous ipas and this would not be the one I reached for on a regular basis.

Tap. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate citrus and earthy aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and lively carbonation. Moderate to heavy complex bitter flavor with a moderate to heavy complex bitter finish of medium to long duration. This is a solid beer.

Amber color with a thin white head. Hoppy aroma. Crisp, sharp taste of hops, grass, pepper, and light woodiness. Very nice and less strong than the alcohol content would lead you to believe.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a large white head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is pine, caramel, notes of citrus. Flavor is the same, medium sweet with a strong malty body and notes of pine and citrus on top. Bitterness is light from body through the finish, some sweetness lingering in far finish. Not a bad early effort!

On tap at GABF 2012. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A big sweet citrus nose, some perfume. A big somewhat hot brew: sweet, lots of resin (nice!), a big harsh at times though. Pretty nice.
