Lightly kilned caramel malts round out the pungent, piney Chinook dry-hopping. As its smooth mouthfeel dissipates into a pleasantly bitter finish, we hope you’ll find our IPA an elegant outlier from its hometown crowd.

Bottle from Windy City liquor. Nice seasionable beer I’d prolly drink more of if I were consistently closer. Mild citrus aromas and flavors with a bit of grassy herbal touches to it. Pours cloudy dark orange with big white head. Finish is a little spicey pepper. Full bodied caramel malt and nice sweetness to balance it all out.

Bomber into pint. Appearance: reddish copper, thin tan head. Aroma: pine, caramel, grapefruit, hay, baked dark bread. Taste: bitter pine, some grapefruit, dominated by pale and caramel malt finish. Palate: thin but smooth. Good carbonation. Very good beer.

Bottled. Color is a beautiful clear copper with fat lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, rum cake, butterscotch and pine resin. Flavor is flat and straightforward with medium bitterness and a strong toasted malt note. Definitely one of the more malt-heavy IPAs you will find in San Diego County. Not enough of the alpha acids to counteract the caramel, but enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from purvis beer. Hazy copper colour. Seen other reviews referring to this beer as clear so not sure whats going on there. Nice hoppy caramel nose. Plenty of hop bitterness, but also somewhat surprisingly a fair proportion of sweet malt. Yes, the mouthfeel is thin, but in the words of Monty Burns, I know what I hate, and I don’t hate this.

Clear golden/orange pour with a thin white head and light sticky lacing .... Aroma of caramel malts, light piney hops and orange ..... Taste is of toasted and chewy caramel malts, piney and citrusy hops mostly orange and light grapefruit .... Finish is dry and malty with a resinous hop that lingers for a bit .... Average IPA for an area with so many winners

Pours a clear and bright copper color with a medium white head. Aroma has some pine and toasty caramel malts. Flavor is very piney and caramel malts are slightly sweet...good piney/earthy bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is dry and piney/resinous.

Bottle; dark caramel-orange pour with a fairly white head. Aroma of pine, earth, citrus, a good dose of caramel and slightly sugary sweetness. Flavor was maltier than expected; a good dose of caramel and some sugary sweetness in finish. Hoppiness creeps in a bit. A bit too malty.

Can. Pours fairly clear copper with no head. Nose is orange citrus with a little caramel. Taste is same. A little thin in the mouthfeel. Okay.
